Get your sandpaper ready!

Haha, I bought it for the space. It does require some work though! Get your screwdrivers, glue, sandpaper and and pet friendly paint ready! You don't want to let your hamster in as it is with raw wood. All the little bugs that hamsters sometimes have and and all the pee will soak into the wood otherwise. Basically it's a DIY project. I bought it for space so that's that.

You'll need to paint at least the shelves

The pictures and diagrams are a bit misleading when it comes to the bottom. There is no bottom. The "drawer" is the bottom; it's ill-fitting, and if it slides out, there's nothing but floor or whatever you have the cage sitting on.When I was putting it together, (after I painted the shelves so they wouldn't soak up pee!) I found that the drawer fit better against the back if I turned the sides and back upside down- plus it gave my hammy more room at the bottom. Mine only came with one arm to hold... Mine only came with one arm to hold up the lid, so I took it off the now bottom and reattached it at the new top. I was worried about the bottom not actually being attached to anything too, bc I have a toddler and a cat. If you slid the drawer out just an inch or so, hammy could definitely squeeze between the drawer and the back, get under the bottom and out of the cage.. so I put it flush with the back and put a screw through each side into the drawer so it won't go anywhere. I'll just be cleaning the cage through the lid.I love how big the thing is!! There's lots of room to customize things and add enrichment. I hot glued a tongue depressor picket fence on the top shelf so I could put in the dirt she likes to dig in.So far, she loves it, and it also serves as an entertainment center for the cat. I've taped ventilated cardboard over the top for now, but I have very fine wire mesh otw to reinforce the lid. Hamster likes to use it like monkey bars and I don't want the cat to claw her through the wide mesh. I also will replace the duct tape with a latch at some point- but other than those issues with the lid, the cage is pretty cat-proof and the acrylic gives everyone a great view. Waste of Money

Product came in absolutely awful condition, not fit for any animal to live in.

Wood peeling, wood scraped, parts missing, joints illy fitted & measured, wood splitting, nails loose, wood splintering.

Filled it up with bedding and the base cracked.

Was told to just keep it and they could only offer a measly 35%, absolutely pathetic.

SO disappointed, had high expectations for it.

Hamster house and stand

House itself was solid. Eventide the hamster went into house he lifted of position on stand. Got tired of relining it so just use house.

Great buy

wasn't sure what to expect. The one hamster feels like a queen in her massive home. fast delivery and very pleased with purchase. only 1 issue (not really an issue). is the bottom had a piece under the tray that would be good. the house was so big I had to make a large enough shelf so it could sit on the existing consol table.

So great for hamsters

Absolutely wonderful cage I was a little sceptical at first if this site was legitimate. But it’s easy to use and fast delivery. The cage is just what I wanted if not a little bigger I have two little winter white dwarf hamsters and they love it only problem I had was the stairs had nothing to grab on so my small hamsters had trouble getting up so I had to put there old stairs in so they can get to the second floor looking forward to fill the cage up .
