Initial unit was poor quality, Replacement immediately sent!
Received the first unit and the box was in a poor state, opening up I found the Marble chipped, the handle pulled straight out, the wheels didn't rotate and all the fitting were rusty. I contacted AOSOM with photos and they immediately sent a replacement. This one was far better.Once assembled this is a solid and heavy unit - ideal for free standing larger parasols. The wheeled base makes it easy to move around a flat patio, but the handling is a weak point, on both units the fixings pull out of... The wheeled base makes it easy to move around a flat patio, but the handling is a weak point, on both units the fixings pull out of the marble. So OK for lifting at 90 degrees to the fixing, but not at an angle or to pull the base around on the wheels. A decent epoxy might help. To minimise wobble the fixing bolt for the umbrella holder needs to be far tighter then the cheap included spanner can accommodate. This also reduces potential flexing of the main spot-welds. My only concern is that the bolt might pull through the marble in time - a larger washer would help avoid this.In short once you get a good one, it looks good, supports large umbrellas well, is heavy (just what you need) and if careful with the handle , is quite easy to move around. I also cannot fault AOSOMs service. I had a problem and they fixed it promptly with excellent communications. Put away
